Mimawarigumi

The Mimawarigumi formed a respected corps of skilled samurai based in the Flower Capital of Wano Country. Orochi trusted them enough to make them his personal protectors, working beside the Orochi Oniwabanshu. For all their prestige, they held no real devotion to either the shogun or the samurai code, a flaw that surfaced the moment their loyalty was tested. By Hotei's account the squad numbered roughly 5,000.

Their duty was bodyguarding and keeping order for Orochi's regime. They were deployed to bolster security in the Flower Capital after the Straw Hats stirred up trouble in Rasetsu Town, then escorted the shogun to Onigashima for the Fire Festival, where Queen presented them to the gathered crowd. When Kaidou seized control and beheaded Orochi during the New Onigashima Project, the group was handed a stark choice, join the Beasts Pirates or die. Hotei pledged allegiance with barely a murmur of dissent, which folded the squad into Kaidou's forces and effectively ended it as an independent unit.

Hotei led the Mimawarigumi and made the decision that bound them to Kaidou. During the raid on Onigashima, Queen released the Ice Oni plague across the Live Floor, and the squad scrambled alongside the Oniwabanshu to recover the antidote at Hotei's order. Their end came when a revitalized Hyougoro, restored to his prime by the same virus, cut down the entire body of samurai and ninja who had thrown in with Kaidou.
