Abilities

Enormous power earned Hihimaru its reputation among the people of Kuri, who dubbed it the raging baboon of the mountain. Its standing with the Beasts Pirates was high enough that its handlers fretted when the komainu Komachiyo dared to fight back against it. Losing the creature mattered to the Beasts Pirates and drew their curiosity toward Tama's taming powers. Tama trusts it enough to hold off both Page One and Ulti at once for three minutes, and in the anime it kept fighting even after taking a hit from Page One's ancient zoan form, showing real endurance. For a weapon it swings a very large katana. Its trouble began when a band of Beasts Pirates and Hihimaru menaced Tama for mentioning the Kouzuki Family, prompting Komachiyo to defend her; the two animals clashed savagely until Hihimaru hurled Komachiyo into the Thousand Sunny. Ordered to chase down Luffy, the baboon was quickly overpowered, then tamed when Tama offered it kibi-dango. It carried Luffy and Tama to Amigasa Village, stayed behind when Tama fell ill, and later joined the Onigashima raid, attacking the Tobiroppo so its allies could escape before being defeated and afterward treated by Marco.
