Appearance

Of ordinary height, Jobo wears stubble across his chin and upper lip and carries a sizable nose beneath longish black hair. Personality

Jobo is a committed drinker who thinks nothing of relieving himself out in the open after dark. He grumbles that more and more pirates keep washing up in Jaya, yet he clearly holds Bellamy and his crew in some esteem, since he made a point of warning them about the bounties placed on Luffy and Zoro.

History

During the Jaya Arc, Jobo turned up at the port giving thanks to the god of booze before joining the Bellamy Pirates in jeering at Luffy, Zoro, and Nami inside the bar. Later, a passing sea gull dropped a bundle of wanted posters on him, which he first mistook for newspapers; inspecting them, he came across the freshly raised bounties on Luffy and Zoro. He assumed his drinking had skewed the figures when he tried to total Luffy's bounty, but the 100,000,000 sum proved real, and the shock sent him racing back to report it to Bellamy. Though Bellamy dismissed the posters as forgeries, Jobo stayed wary, and his caution was vindicated when Luffy floored the cocky captain with a single blow. In the manga, the stubble vanishes entirely from his face at the height of his shock.
