Personality

For all their captain's terrifying muscle, the crew itself fights poorly, with clusters of its members falling to lone Heart Pirates. What they lack in raw combat skill they make up for in ruthlessness, repeatedly seizing civilians and turning human trafficking into a steady source of income.

History

Over the years the crew fell into a routine of grabbing townsfolk and peddling them as slaves, drifting from one island to the next. Shortly before the events of the novel they raided Welbems Island and carried off several residents, Hakugan among them.

While hauling ten captives bound for sale, they sprang an ambush on the Heart Pirates. Meidara singled out Trafalgar Law while his crew tangled with the rest, but the whole band was thoroughly crushed and their treasure carried off.
