History
Raised alongside Toratsugu, who served as the flower arranger for her father, Kikuhime gradually fell in love with him and the two became engaged. That happiness collapsed when Lark killed Hitaki and pinned the murder on Toratsugu, who was thrown in prison. With him out of the way, Kikuhime was betrothed to Lark instead.
Their wedding was crashed by Toratsugu, who had eaten a Devil Fruit and taken the form of the legendary yokai Nue, and he carried Kikuhime off. Lark turned to the Straw Hat Pirates for help retrieving her. Once they subdued Toratsugu and the couple were reunited with Lark, his true colors showed: he confessed to murdering her father and hurled her from a balcony. Toratsugu swooped in with Luffy on his back to catch her, and Luffy flattened Lark with a single punch. A banquet followed, after which Kikuhime and Toratsugu saw the Straw Hats off and went on with their life together.
