Lark is the royal antagonist of One Piece Art NUE, the story unveiled at the One Piece x Kyoto event. A prince of a land bordering Yo, he hides ruthless ambition behind a courtly mask and schemes his way toward seizing the region.
Blond hair, worn loose and untidy, tops Lark's fair-skinned face. His outfit pairs brown trousers with a brown shirt buttoned in two parallel rows. Draped over his shoulders is a cape in red and yellow, patterned throughout with thin brown striping.
The polished, dignified prince that strangers meet is a deliberate front. Underneath, Lark is cold and hungry for power, ready to murder anyone who stands between him and a loftier rank. He arranged the death of the daimyo Hitaki and later turned on his own bride Kikuhime. He also shifts the blame for his crimes onto others, fixing his guilt on the florist Toratsugu without hesitation.
Lark's rise began with the killing of Hitaki, the daimyo of Yo, a deed witnessed by Toratsugu. Rather than face exposure, Lark framed the florist and condemned him to a death sentence, then took Hitaki's daughter Kikuhime, once promised to Toratsugu, as his own betrothed. On the wedding day, the ceremony was interrupted when Toratsugu burst in transformed into the yokai nue by a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit. Unable to beat him, Lark watched the creature withdraw to its mountain lair, then hired the Straw Hat Pirates to hunt him down for a hefty payment. Holed up in a camp, Lark confessed to Kikuhime that he had slain her father and, finding her useless, shoved her from a balcony. Luffy swooped in atop Toratsugu to catch her, allied with the nue, and ended the prince with one blow to the face, leaving Kikuhime to return to Toratsugu.
As royalty, Lark commands some authority over his territory, though what remains of it after his loss is unclear. He shows no real combat skill, failing to restrain the nue-form Toratsugu and folding to a single strike from Luffy. He keeps a sword at his hip plus a bow and quiver on his back, but whether he can wield any of them is unknown.

Lark framed the florist Toratsugu for the murder of the daimyo Hitaki, a killing Lark himself actually committed, and had Toratsugu condemned to death.

Lark was defeated when Monkey D. Luffy, riding atop the nue-transformed Toratsugu, struck him down with a single blow to the face after Lark had shoved Kikuhime from a balcony.
