Kojuro

Broad across the shoulders yet only of moderate stature, Kojuro carries a square jaw beneath dark brows and pink hair that falls to his shoulders. His outfit pairs a purple kimono trimmed in deep blue with a pale yellow cape decorated by light green swirls. A reversed crescent moon is inked onto his ankle, the same secret mark borne by the other loyalists who awaited the Scabbards' return.

Kojuro feels things deeply and shows it openly. News of the planned strike against Kaidou thrilled him, and when Dotaku reminded the group that swords were forbidden, he furiously declared he would throw his bare fists into the fight rather than waste the moment. Captivity in Rasetsu broke him to tears when Shimotsuki Yasuie passed along a fresh rallying point, and he later tried in vain to talk the guards into letting the prisoners out for the festival. During the assault he echoed Kin'emon's appeal to samurai pride, and even while the Ice Oni plague ravaged him he refused to fold, though Dotaku had to steady his spirit near the end.

After Kouzuki Toki foretold that Orochi would fall and Wano's borders would open, Kojuro and his fellow retainers spent twenty years biding their time, each taking a crescent tattoo so they could recognize one another. When the call for the Onigashima raid finally circulated, he begged to take part. The tattoo betrayed him, and he was thrown into the Rasetsu Town jail, where he insisted the marking was merely an old emblem unrelated to any uprising.

Denjiro broke him and the other captives loose on the day of the Fire Festival, swelling the rebel ranks by a thousand fighters, and the group sailed to Tokage Port to collect the Scabbards. Disguised as enemy crew, Kojuro slipped into Onigashima with Denjiro's unit, helped shackle Sasaki, and infiltrated the Skull Dome. Once the Scabbards struck Kaidou and tumbled from the stage, he tore off his disguise alongside Hyougoro and others to shield them. He recognized Big Mom's strength when Ukon did not, vowed to carve a path through the Numbers for the Straw Hats, and was eventually infected by the Ice Oni virus before Chopper's antidote cured everyone.
