Maasu

A prominent nose and a dusting of stubble mark Maasu's face. His blond hair runs semi-long, with extended bangs that curl upward and frame his features. He dresses in a gray jacket worn over a red collared shirt, finished off with a necklace.

Slippery and dishonest by nature, Maasu professes to keep his word while exploiting fine print to dodge his obligations. Creatures like the Sennenryu earn no pity from him; he writes them off as mere beasts whose feelings count for nothing. He also has a verbal quirk, capping his sentences with zamasu, a dated turn of phrase meaning to be.

His rank within Flower Angel puts him over the group's lower members, and in a fight he relies on a sword, striking with rapid slashes. He, Choshi, and Tokkuri were trying to capture Pokori on Croissant Island when the Straw Hats showed up; rightly guessing the crew were Pokori's friends, the trio attacked, lost, claimed ignorance of Pokori's location, and slipped away amid the confusion. Maasu then went to Little Garden and cut a deal with the stranded Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine, promising to ferry the agents off the island if they secured its treasure for Dandelion. Once the pair dug up part of it, a giant axe, he showed up to take it but reneged on his end, arguing they had only recovered half, then made off with the weapon. Later, aboard Flower Angel's enormous battleship, he and his comrades confronted the Straw Hats trying to free the Sennenryu; his attitude provoked the crew into another clash that ended with his group beaten and the Sennenryu set loose.
