Appearance

Built like a brawler, Marc is a muscular figure marked by a jaw that juts forward, a sizable nose angled toward the ground, narrow eyes, and cropped brown hair. Over one eye sits a black patch. His clothing runs to brown throughout: a short-sleeved shirt, tight-fitting trousers, and shoes, finished off with a brown bracelet on his wrist. A dark brown bag travels with him wherever he goes.

Marc comes across as quick to overreact. During his exchange with the Straw Hat Pirates he shouts again and again, and once his temper flares he simply bolts from the scene.

History

His real combat strength was never measured, yet his bulky frame hints at some degree of power. Even so, Zabal brought him down without much trouble. Marc had belonged to the Simon Pirates until the crew's constant talk of peace wore on him and he walked away, helping himself to a portion of their funds on the way out. Zabal was sent to track him down and finish him for the theft.

Deep in the mines of one island, Marc ran into the Straw Hats and warned them to stay back, only easing up once he understood they meant him no harm. Usopp grew curious about him, and the two chatted briefly before Marc gave his name to the group; a further round of conversation soon irritated him and he took off. The two parties met a second time within a mine close to a village, but Zabal cut the encounter short, striking Marc down and turning on the crew. The wounded Marc was then carried to the local chief's home to recover.
