Millet Pine

Pine is short and round, his head crowned with dark curly hair and a heavy black beard. He sports an orange helmet sprouting black horns, one of them snapped off, over a suit of gold armor and brown trousers cinched by a wide furry belt bearing a logo at its center. The overall effect reads as a textbook Viking.

As many of the crew did, Pine kept his distance from Kouzuki Oden when Roger first brought him aboard, though that coolness soon thawed into friendship. He shared the crew's infatuation with Shakuyaku and bristled with anger when she was given over to Silvers Rayleigh, yet he still shielded the pair as they fled the Marines and rival pirates. A treasure-loving pirate to the core, he guarded his haul jealously at God Valley. While loyal to his captain, he was not above ducking or working around orders when it suited his own interests.

His role as torturer marks him as a specialist in wringing information out of captives by force. In combat he swung an iron mace tipped with a spiked sphere, and despite his small frame he handled it with deadly skill, cutting down enemies at God Valley and even fighting effectively while perched on a moving cart. Forty-four years ago he was already among the Roger Pirates, taking part in an assault on the Kuja Pirates meant to recruit Shakuyaku, and thirty-eight years ago he stood with the crew at God Valley to face the Rocks Pirates. Twenty-six years ago in Paradise, the crew clashed with the Whitebeard Pirates for four days before the fight gave way to a gift exchange and Roger's plea to bring Oden along. Pine then sailed with them to Laugh Tale and shared the tearful farewells before the Roger Pirates disbanded, his ultimate fate left unknown.
