Personality

Brimming with overconfidence, he was certain he would claim the title of Fish-Man Island's top swordsman and squared off against Zoro without a trace of fear. He is also prone to flying off the handle, lashing out in fury the moment Zoro dismissed him as weak.

Abilities

His fish-man heritage grants him roughly tenfold the muscle of an ordinary person. The bulb fixed to his head can flare into a blinding light meant to dazzle opponents, a trick he tried on Zoro. He also fancies himself a master of the shotel, though his swordsmanship fell well short of overcoming Zoro.

Before Zoro's bout with Hyouzou, Nuru challenged him, boasting he would become the island's finest blade by cutting him down. After being outclassed he resorted to his luminous lure to blind his foe, but Zoro shattered the glowing organ into pieces and finished the duel, telling Nuru to go train further. A drugged-up Hyouzou then delivered the defeated fish-man a final blow.
