Queen

Queen is an enormous, rotund man of light complexion who insists his bulk is muscle rather than fat. Standing 612 centimeters, he falls a single centimeter short of fellow All-Star King, and like Jack his frame is top-heavy, pairing thick tapering arms with comparatively small legs. His head hunches into his neck above a tiny face shielded by blue-lensed sunglasses, which black tape holds on by crossing into an X over his brow and the back of his skull. He has no eyebrows, a small hooked nose, navy lips, and a perpetual cigar, while a long blond braid ending in a stinger-like tuft trails from an otherwise bald head beneath a drooping Fu Manchu mustache.

A curving stitched scar climbs from the right side of his chest to his shoulder, his crew's emblem is tattooed on his upper right arm, and his entire left arm is a grey-and-gold cybernetic limb, until Sanji destroyed it during the Onigashima raid. He dresses in tall, vertically striped overalls held by suspenders with figure-eight clasps, finished with brown ankle boots. In his lean MADS years he was clean-shaven with a dyed mohawk, gradually piling on weight and growing out his facial hair, and after Ryokugyu drained his fluids he turned markedly thinner.

Boisterous, brash, and impossible to ignore, Queen styles himself the crew's resident entertainer, rallying his troops with a trademark funky song and dance. He is enormously vain and arrogant, treating his command like a personal stage and writing off the weaker Pleasures and Waiters as expendable for lacking artificial Zoan powers. A streak of cruelty runs deep: he relishes staging death matches and execution games, bends the rules to suit himself, and once hurled his own infant son Cutty Flam, the future Franky, into the sea for being hard to control.

An insatiable glutton, he prizes the sweet soup oshiruko above almost everything and turns murderous when denied it. He also takes immense pride in his scientific genius, flaunting cybernetics he claims even Vegapunk could never copy, and he peppers his speech with the word "Excite," a play on his epithet "Plague." For all his bluster, his composure cracks easily under pressure, as when the sudden appearance of the Nine Red Scabbards or Big Mom's regained memory left him rattled.

Ranking just below Kaidou, Queen wields sweeping authority over the Beasts Pirates and once governed the Udon region of Wano, overseeing its Prisoner Mine. His bounty of 1,320,000,000 Berries, third highest in the crew, marks him a serious danger in the World Government's eyes, and more than two decades of service mark him a seasoned veteran. Beside King he fought Marco the Phoenix to exhaustion, and he crushed Chopper even in the reindeer's strongest Monster Point. Raw power blends with machinery in his fighting style: he can catch one of Luffy's punches barehanded and slam Sanji through reinforced walls, though Sanji's fully awakened Ifrit Jambe speed eventually overwhelmed and beat him.

His true specialty is science. A gifted inventor and former member of the rogue MADS team, he engineers man-made plagues such as the Ice Oni virus and fits his body with high-tech cybernetics, having studied Germa 66 closely enough to copy the Vinsmoke siblings' Raid Suit powers, from optic beams to invisibility. His built-in arsenal spans laser cannons, rocket launchers, grappling claws, and limbs that extend on command. Through the Ryu Ryu no Mi, an Ancient Zoan tied to the brachiosaurus, he can become a towering long-necked dinosaur or a human-dinosaur hybrid, and in beast form he can even detach his neck and tail to fight as a giant snake. He also commands Observation Haki and signature attacks like the laser blast Black Coffee.
