Appearance

Tall and black haired, Raki wears two broad bangs parted across the front of her face, with a long, elaborately styled ponytail trailing behind. Her eyes are a dark green, pink coloring tints her lips, and she carries the small back wings shared by all Shandia. In battle she dresses in a light purple tunic that exposes her stomach over light red trousers styled after Native American garb and open along the inner legs, completing the look with color matched Skate type Wavers. Following the end of the Skypiea conflict her attire turns more casual.

Much like her people, Raki spent her childhood going without shoes, slipping into a pair only now and then, though after the arc she takes to wearing them as a matter of habit. By two years on she gathers her hair into a pair of tufts at the crown instead of one and wears the same winged face sleeveless top that Conis does.

Personality

Courageous and kind, Raki takes pleasure in making others happy. In Wyper's view, however, she gets caught up in trivial concerns when she should fix her attention on the broader goal; he points to her fussing over the bag of Vearth belonging to Aisa, arguing that reclaiming their homeland would end any need to scrap over a single sack of soil ever again. She is plainly afraid of Wyper's violent streak and dislikes his temperament, yet she stands among the few of his fighters who dare to object to his decisions, and she stayed loyal through the war against Enel while trying to warn him of the threat he faced.

History

Raki was born into a Shandia people forged by ceaseless war, and as a child she listened to the Chief tell the story of Kalgara. The tie she shares with Aisa is especially strong, resembling that of an older and younger sister, and she would go to any length to see the girl smile. Her chosen weapon is a rifle, with a small shield fixed to her left arm, and like her kin she pilots Jet Skis skillfully for travel through the air. She is durable as well, having endured a fierce electric blast from Enel and managed to get back on her feet afterward.

Through the Skypiea Arc she took part in a gathering of the Shandia, urged Wyper to accept allies such as the rejected Gan Fall, arguing that an enemy's enemy was a comrade, and was told she could not join the fight. She kept returning to collect Vearth for Aisa even as Wyper objected, and after Kamakiri warned her that the Reject Dial would have no effect on Enel, she hurried to find Wyper. Enel appeared before she could relay the warning, and her attempt to shoot him ended with her struck by his lightning and knocked out. Once Luffy defeated Enel, she regained consciousness, recovered Aisa's cherished bag of Vearth, and reunited with the tearful girl who, after acting annoyed, burst into tears and ran to hug her.

Raki went on to help her tribe and the Skypieans rebuild after Enel's rampage, then celebrated the victory with the Straw Hat Pirates. As the crew prepared to leave, she gave the restless Aisa a haircut, trimming her short hair while suggesting that growing it out would look more ladylike, which prompted teasing and laughter between them. She saw the pirates off, joined by the other residents of Skypiea. Later she is glimpsed taking a stroll across the Vearth in the company of Aisa, Conis, and Nola. After the timeskip she and Conis run the Pumpkin Cafe together, Raki at the stove preparing noodles while her partner brings out the drinks.
