Rivers

Tall and well-built, Rivers sports a white hat fitted with long flaps over the ears, a dark-red shirt cut in a V at the neck, grey trousers, and brown boots. In his younger days he topped his head with a white cap much like the adult version and dressed in a blue shirt dotted with green over white pants.

Rivers holds the view that Bellamy ought not to soil his hands on the likes of Luffy, Zoro, and Nami, none of whom he rates as worthy rivals. Once Bellamy was beaten, however, his nerve collapsed: he kept Sarquiss from squaring off against Luffy and, like the others, simply stood by doing nothing as Luffy carried away all of their captain's gold.

Born in Notice along with the rest of his crewmates, Rivers left town with them to take up piracy, and when they crossed paths with Doflamingo he offered them the use of his Jolly Roger. During the Jaya Arc, Rivers first turns up inside the hotel that the crew has taken over, standing quietly while his comrades belittle the Straw Hats. At the pub, when Bellamy goes after Luffy, Rivers is among those present. After the others finish mocking and pummeling Luffy and Zoro, Bellamy tells Rivers and Ross to toss the so-called garbage out for taking up space. The two obey at once, sending Zoro crashing through a table and ramming Luffy face-first into a window of the pub, leaving both badly hurt.

Rivers reappears once the crew finds out about the bounty posters for Luffy and Zoro; within the manga version, it is Rivers, not Eddy, who holds Sarquiss back from chasing Luffy. He is also on hand during the Long Ring Long Land Arc when Doflamingo forces Sarquiss and Bellamy to fight one another as a penalty for losing. After Bellamy was disciplined, Rivers traveled with the crew to a Sky Island, and his fate, like that of the others, is unknown after Bellamy surrendered his role as captain and signed on with the Donquixote Pirates.
