History
Half a century ago, Rongo stood with Isoka, Akibi, Pukau, and Rapanui Pasqua to drive Wetton off when he tried to plunder Ruluka, and the effort swept Rongo through the Rainbow Mist into Ape's Concert alongside Ian. Because Ian had been held prisoner by the Pumpkin Pirates from the moment they arrived, Rongo set him loose once Ian convinced him he would behave.
Later the group ran into an aged Henzo together with the Straw Hat Pirates, whose combined aid foiled Wetton's attempt to seize Ape's Concert. Rongo made it back home with his friends, and in the years that followed they all signed on as Marines.
