Saldeath

Saldeath has the look of a tiny devil or imp dressed in a white suit, a yellow shirt beneath it, a black tie, and yellow gloves. A white sun hat sits atop his head, topped by two horns with the Blugori skull crest set between them, and a pair of bat wings extend from his back much like those of Magellan and Hannyabal. The hat makes it tough to tell, but he appears to lack external ears. After the timeskip he stands a good deal taller, his outfit resized to match while his face changes little. As a youngster he kept a shaved head and dressed in a white button-up shirt marked by a black stripe across the stomach, along with black pants and white shoes.

Calm and even-tempered, Saldeath comes across as far less savage than the Blugori he oversees, even remarking to Luffy, Buggy, and Galdino that being caught by him was something to be grateful for, possibly in sarcasm, before they could descend toward Level 4. Even so, he treats his post at the prison with real seriousness, though he is easily annoyed when Luffy mistakes him for a monkey. As a boy he reportedly sicced his dog on anyone he judged to be a wrongdoer.

Saldeath organized the ambush meant to snare Luffy, Buggy, and Galdino on the third level of Impel Down, but the scheme unraveled when a Sphinx tumbled into the net as well, woke up, and ripped the seastone netting apart, releasing the pirates. He then sent his men chasing after Luffy. Commanding the Blue Gorillas with his trident, which he blows into like a flute to relay orders, he later pulled them away to quell the prisoner uprising on Level 2. Once Luffy was recaptured, he put down the rioters yet still had keys left to recover. After Luffy, Ivankov, Inazuma, Crocodile, and Jinbe broke out of Level 6, Hannyabal dispatched Saldeath to Level 4, where his Blugori were felled by Ivankov in a single strike, and he is not seen afterward. Following the timeskip he turns up much larger, accompanied by Sadi.
