Chief Guard Saldeath's Trap! Level 3 - Starvation Hell!

Luffy, Buggy, and Galdino land on Level 3, a parched and blistering expanse where inmates are starved until they crumble into sand. With no clear route downward, the trio wanders the heat until Saldeath, the small commander of the Blugori apes, ensnares them in a Seastone mesh that none of them can break. The rampaging Sphinx, having tumbled down with them, tears the net open while bellowing food names, giving the captives an opening to flee.

Back on Level 2, the freed prisoners turn on the guards in gratitude to Buggy, throwing the prison into a riot. At Marine Headquarters, Sengoku scolds Garp for treating Luffy's exploits lightly and works to keep the uproar quiet. As Buggy and Galdino slip away from Luffy, they come upon a cell holding the former Baroque Works agent Bentham, whose imprisonment has done nothing to dim his flamboyant spirit as he performs a song with his cellmates.

This episode forms part of the Impel Down Arc and adapts chapter 530. The closing card is stamped with Bentham's blown kiss over the To Be Continued text. As with surrounding episodes during this period, the next-time preview is kept very brief to accommodate announcements for the tenth film and the anniversary of the franchise.
