Shirotsu

Shirotsu is a lean teenage boy with short brown hair. His outfit pairs lime green cargo shorts with a white short-sleeved button-up worn with the sleeves rolled up, calf-high white socks, blue laced sneakers, and a white ball cap, all set off by a light blue cape lined in white. A silver four-leaf clover emblem repeats across his cap, shirt, and cape. After joining the Age Age Super Marines, he threw a black cloak over this everyday look.

Like his friend Kuroba, Shirotsu burns with ambition and longs to enlist with the Marines and rise to Admiral, idolizing Aokiji in particular. Where the two differ is conviction. Shirotsu holds his principles far more loosely, raising no objection when Yehudi pushed a philosophy of dragging civilians into combat, content simply to be dazzled by raw strength.

Although entirely self-taught, Shirotsu fights respectably, having cleared out a band of Dondoko Pirates single-handed. He worked out his own version of Tekkai, hardening his body well enough to fully absorb one of Luffy's blows. Under the influence of the Chuni Chuni no Mi he grows far stronger and can unleash an imitation of Rokuogan, enough to trade blows with Luffy, though the power overwhelms him and strips away his self-control.

When the Dondoko Pirates raided Soil Island, Shirotsu rescued Kuroba from a swarm of attackers, then recognized Luffy and challenged him, blocking his punch with that homemade Tekkai. Learning Luffy had once fought their hero Aokiji on Long Ring Long Land left him eager for more, but Luffy waved him off. Later the boys watched Yehudi and the Age Age Super Marines defeat Buggy, and Shirotsu accepted Yehudi's recruitment offer at once while the wary Kuroba hung back. As Yehudi's brutal methods mounted, Shirotsu stayed starstruck even as Kuroba abandoned their childhood promise and fled. He then took the Chuni Chuni no Mi power, lost himself to it, and battled Luffy until a battered Kuroba's apology snapped him out of it. Yehudi reclaimed the power in a rage, and after the Straw Hats won the day, Captain Koby arrived and invited both boys into the Marines, which they gladly accepted.
