When the Egghead Incident unfolded, the Giant Warrior Pirates sailed in to pull the Straw Hat Pirates off the island. After the Straw Hats had boarded the ship, Sig was among the giants who had to fend off the relentless Five Elders, Mars above all. Drawing on the great strength and durability of his race, he and his crewmates managed to hold back an energy beam Mars unleashed, with Sig raising his shield to block the flames of the attack. The grueling fight finally broke in their favor when Emet invoked Joy Boy's Haki, letting both crews depart without further pursuit.
