Appearance

Su has a fox-shaped body topped by ears of unremarkable size and eyes that stay narrowed to slits. Where a fox would have a muzzle, her face tapers into something snout-like, and she has never once been drawn with her mouth open. The tail trailing behind her runs unusually long for an animal of her size, fading to a paler shade at its tip. Her coat reads as pure white in the manga, though the anime tints it a soft purple.

Personality

For an animal, Su shows a striking amount of cleverness. She follows the instructions Pagaya gives her and gets her meaning across to people through pantomime and mimicry, even reporting back to Conis about where Sanji and Usopp have gone. Around her two humans she behaves with an endearing sweetness. She has a taste for pumpkin juice, having helped herself to a cup Pagaya left sitting out, and proves a heavy sleeper, dozing through loud conversation and Pagaya's blaring music without stirring.

History

When the Straw Hat Pirates set foot on Skypiea, Su trotted up to the newcomers, and a music-playing Conis introduced the pair of them while Zoro puzzled over what the creature was. Su tagged along as Luffy and Nami tested out the Waver, then joined everyone for dinner at Conis' house. As the crew battled in the Upper Yard, she lingered beside Conis during the adults' discussion of the island's plight, sneaking some of Pagaya's juice in the process.

She later rode in Pagaya's dial boat with the family and Aisa, sleeping until the group reunited with Nami and then waking aboard the Going Merry. Left on watch by Pagaya, Su raised a loud alarm when a stranger neared the ship. After Enel struck Pagaya down, Conis charged her with guarding the recovering Sanji and Usopp. Su tried in vain to talk the two men out of joining Luffy's fight, then anxiously signaled their departure to Conis on her return. She stayed in her owner's arms as Enel's assault tore at the island, comforted the guilt-ridden Conis, and was held close again when Luffy's victory finally arrived. As the pirates departed Skypiea, Su saw them off with Conis and Pagaya.
