Tomatito is a guitarist living in Dressrosa, a friendly musician acquainted with Charlotte Lola and the Rolling Pirates.
Lean and long-limbed, Tomatito has a square jaw and dark hair gathered into a ponytail that runs down his back. Round sunglasses sit on his face, and he dresses in a pale yellow shirt layered under a black vest. A Spanish guitar is usually tucked under his arm.
He comes across as approachable and good-natured, untroubled even in the company of pirates. He grew close enough to Charlotte Lola during her time in Dressrosa that he later mistook her identical twin Chiffon for her.
As a musician, Tomatito's skill lies in playing the guitar. Sometime before the Firetank Pirates reached Dressrosa, he had befriended the Rolling Pirates and come to know about Lola's search for a husband. When the Firetank crew beat back some Marines at the island's harbor, Tomatito spotted Chiffon with Bege and assumed Lola had finally landed a husband of her own. Once he understood he was speaking to her twin rather than Lola, he confirmed to the pirates that the real Lola was indeed somewhere in Dressrosa. His name borrows that of the real flamenco guitarist José Fernandes Torres, who performs as Tomatito.
Tomatito borrows the name of the real flamenco guitarist Jose Fernandes Torres, who performs under that stage name. The One Piece character shares this name because he too is a skilled guitarist.
