Tsumonsieur Kamaya

Kamaya cuts a tall figure topped with long, curling hair in a coral-pink shade. High cheekbones, a squared jaw, and full lips define his face, partly hidden behind round sunglasses. He dresses head to toe in a dark suit accented by a yellow tie, pale gloves, and a black cowboy hat.

Loyalty to the World Government drove him, shown plainly when he backed Spandine's operation on Ohara. He had no objection to handling menial assignments if they advanced his standing, often taking on the tasks his chief lacked the skill to do himself.

Raised from birth to kill, Kamaya stood as the second most powerful CP9 agent of his era twenty-two years ago, ranking only behind Laskey, and his training included the superhuman Six Powers techniques. He arrived at Ohara in the West Blue alongside CP9 chief Spandine under government orders, ostensibly to halt the island's scholars from unlawfully reading the Poneglyphs, though the real aim was to justify a Buster Call against the whole island. When the Marines tried to reach Spandine, Kamaya passed along the message but was told to ignore it. He directed his subordinates to round up everyone claiming to be a scholar, then joined Spandine in the forest to confront Nico Olvia. With Laskey at his side, he easily overpowered her and hauled her unconscious into town among the other captured scholars, after which Spandine ordered him to report to the Five Elders.
