Usunoro

Usunoro is a muscular, tan-skinned man with long blond hair worn together with a matching beard and mustache. From the waist down his body is that of a giant tortoise, light green in skin with a dark green shell, the result of his SMILE power. He wears metal braces at the elbows, shoulder pads, white gloves, a black cape, and a metal helmet, with a broad fur-lined sash covering his belt. When first seen, he wore a different, long-horned helmet.

Eager to strike first, Usunoro was the Armored Division member who opened the assault on Momonosuke, yet his poor awareness of his surroundings left him blind to Yamato's approach until it was too late. He shows a cruel side, untroubled by the prospect of killing a child.

Usunoro carries the authority of a Shinuchi over the lower ranks of the crew. His power flows from a Giant Tortoise SMILE, an artificial Zoan that reshaped his lower half into a tortoise and leaves him moving at a sluggish pace, and in combat he swings a large, heavy metal axe. On the day of the Fire Festival he joined Queen's Golden Kagura celebrations with the other Shinuchi and took part in the Gifter swarm that descended on Luffy and Zoro. When the Onigashima raid broke out, he fell back in with the Armored Division and helped target Momonosuke, who was under Shinobu's protection. After Shinobu was wounded shielding the boy from the division's arrows, Usunoro moved in to finish them with his axe but was cut down by Yamato, who had trailed the group.
