Zangirimaru

Of average height, Zangirimaru has blond hair that fans into large bangs around his face and gathers into a ponytail at the back. While confined at Udon he wore the standard prisoner garb. The anime later dresses him in a striped light-blue kimono with a white tasuki sash once he sheds the prison uniform.

Years in the mines drained Zangirimaru of hope, leaving him convinced there was no point in trying to flee into a Wano ruled by Orochi and Kaidou. The anime paints him as a restless sort as well, jittery enough that Hyougoro had to settle him down.

Zangirimaru has enough physical strength to help pin down Luffy alongside other prisoners, and in the anime he carries a sword. After Kouzuki Oden's death he was thrown into the Prisoner Mine at Udon for rising up against Kaidou. When Luffy sparked a revolt there, Zangirimaru and the others first followed Babanuki's order to restrain him, but freed him once Kikunojo's threat changed their minds.

The anime extends his role into the Onigashima raid, where he lands with Hareji and Hanji under Hyougoro's command, nervous before the assault until Hyougoro calms them, and he admits admiration for the Straw Hat Pirates. Later, with Luffy and Zoro unable to reach the rooftop, Zangirimaru joins Hyougoro's team to confront Goki, Juki, and a band of Gifters, surprised when Hyougoro laughs and insists they cannot lose with Luffy on their side.
