Recognizing Drake as a member of the Tobiroppo from their earlier run-in at the bathhouse, the Straw Hats greet his sudden defection with open distrust. Luffy nonetheless welcomes him into the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance, though Zoro keeps his guard raised and trades blows with the former marine. Shielded by the Wano samurai, the crew presses deeper into the fortress.

The skirmish fractures into smaller clashes. Page One and Ulti hound Nami and Usopp through the halls, while Apoo bombards Luffy and Sanji with concussive sound, forcing both to clamp their ears shut to survive the blasts. When Apoo calls in the giant Hatcha, Franky baits the brute into chasing General Franky to keep him away from the crowded floor.

Zoro and Drake square off until Apoo interrupts by trying to summon more Numbers. Sharing a grudge against Apoo, Zoro sets aside his suspicions, accepts Drake as an ally, and the two turn their blades on him together. Overhead, Queen opens fire with a machine gun, peppering several samurai with rounds. Though the wounds look minor, the victims' skin instantly hardens and crusts over with ice. Drake identifies the projectiles as Excite Bullets carrying yet another of Queen's engineered viruses.

The adaptation inserts extra beats, including Sanji recalling the Flower Capital bathhouse episode, Yatappe clearing a path by knocking down Beasts Pirates grunts, and Ulti once more pestering Page One to carry her. The reactions of the fighters stunned by Drake's betrayal are also drawn out. The installment carries a viewer rating of 3.9 and aired on December 4, 2021, opening with the theme DREAMIN' ON.
