Summary

Luffy's bold declaration only stokes Kaidou's fury. In the same moment Big Mom tears loose a sliver of her soul and feeds it to the thundercloud overhead, birthing a replacement homie. As its opening act, this newcomer blasts Kid and Killer with a near point-blank lightning bolt that rattles the whole island. Below, Nami, Tama, and Usopp try to ride Komachiyo back to the Live Floor with Page One in pursuit.

Key Events

Page One shifts into his Spinosaurus hybrid form and lands on Komachiyo, but the beast accelerates and rams him into a wall. Kid and Killer climb from the rubble inside the castle, only to be ambushed by Hawkins; furious that Hawkins sided with Kaidou, Kid presses on while Killer stays to fight him, and Hawkins uses Goma no So to take a scarecrow-like shape. On the roof, Luffy recalls Hyougoro's teaching on internal-destruction Armament Haki and channels it into Kaidou's gut without contact, then floors him with an uppercut, telling Law and Zoro to head down while he duels the Emperor alone.

Notes

The anime adds Big Mom's creation of the homie Hera and Tama's instruction for Komachiyo to leap through a wall against Page One. The chase and Luffy's realization about Supreme King Haki both run longer, and instrumental versions of We Go! and We Are! play as inserts. Starting here the anime ran a special One Piece Film: Red opening, New Genesis, for four weeks, though the English simulcast kept PAINT. The episode is part of the Wano Country Arc.
