The 1076th One Piece episode traces Kaidou's origins from the Vodka Kingdom to the Rocks Pirates, then returns to the present as Momonosuke steers Onigashima clear and Luffy lands the blow that ends the Emperor.
Kaidou's history comes to light. Raised in the Vodka Kingdom, a nation that robbed others just to pay its World Government dues, he joined its army and grew into its mightiest weapon by the age of ten. His king then sold him off to the Marines so he could attend the Levely. Kaidou struck the warship carrying him and became a wanted man.
As a fugitive he let himself be captured again and again, ate his fill aboard the battleships, then walked free with ease. Eventually Edward Newgate recruited him into the Rocks Pirates, deepening that crew's dreaded name.
The Rocks Pirates were broken at God Valley by Garp, where Rocks died and the crew scattered. Kaidou built the Beasts Pirates, which seized Wano after allying with the Kurozumi Family, aiming to abolish the Government's noble order and forge a world ranked by war. In the present, the allies in the Skull Dome band together to ride out Raizo's flood, and a more determined Momonosuke at last conjures his own Flame Clouds to carry the island away from the capital.
In a last exchange, Kaidou asks what world Luffy means to build. Luffy answers that he wants a world where his friends can eat as they like, shatters the Emperor's flame coating, and lands a Ryuo-charged punch that knocks him out and drops him into the depths. As both warriors rest, Kaidou recalls King once telling him that Joy Boy himself would be his undoing.
