Episode 163 closes out two clashes at once. Gan Fall falls before Shura's might, while in the forest Luffy outwits Satori by severing the string controlling his deadly ball dragon, then teams with Sanji to finish the priest for good.
Satori assembles his Ball Dragon from surprise spheres packed with gunpowder and shrapnel, hurling the construct at Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp. Across the island, Aisa finishes collecting Vearth and slips back into her village, spotted on her way in by Kamakiri. Wyper, meanwhile, debates Gan Fall's sudden presence in Upper Yard with fellow fighters and the village elder, vowing rebellion for as long as any god claims to rule them. Raki suggests Gan Fall may not truly be a foe, but Wyper dismisses the idea as a hindrance.
Pagaya repairs the waver the crew carried up and talks with Conis about aiding their escape. The duel between Gan Fall and Shura plays out to its end, and the former ruler is beaten. Zoro, Nami, and Robin press on through the woods.
Fleeing the Ball Dragon, Luffy darts toward a tree and stumbles onto the very string Satori uses to steer the weapon. Snapping it in two robs the priest of all control. Luffy then redirects the dragon straight back at its master, triggering an explosion. Usopp, breaking off to hunt for the boat, locates the way out of the forest. Luffy closes the gap, clamps his limbs around Satori, and on Sanji's urging refuses to let go, the two pirates downing the priest together.
