A shadowy visitor drifts up in the night and drains the crew's memories. By morning only Robin recalls their shared voyages, and her efforts to hold everyone together unravel as Nami and Zoro each strike out on their own.
Late in the evening Robin sits reading while her crewmates sleep. Out on the water a strange figure surfaces and plays an instrument shaped like a seahorse, its song reaching the ship. The next morning Nami wakes with no idea who Robin is, and Luffy, Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper soon stir as well, all baffled to find themselves aboard a vessel they do not remember boarding.
Usopp tries to pass himself off as a renowned pirate, but the bluff falls flat. Gathered on deck, the others puzzle over Chopper, unsure what he even is, until Robin explains they sail the Grand Line under Luffy's command. Searching her cabin, Nami uncovers her logbook and recognizes her own handwriting in its notes, which convinces her to head back to Cocoyasi Village. She escapes on a Waver, and Zoro likewise abandons ship, diving into the sea to swim away while the mysterious figure observes from a hill.
This installment opens the Ocean's Dream Arc. It marks the first appearances of Drim and Noko, and features flashback glimpses of figures from the crew's past, among them Kaya, Shanks, Bell-mere, and Nojiko.
