Another gigantic Aqua Laguna swell rises ahead of the Rocketman, and Kokoro doubts the group can survive it. Reasoning that the crest amounts to plain seawater, Zambai has his Franky Family pound away with cannon fire, yet not one round dents the surge, and even their outsized special gun proves useless. Kokoro warns that the ascending rail will still fall short of the wave's peak, leaving Chopper terrified. Nami, meanwhile, fields a call from Sanji, who admits the situation has become tangled while Usopp and Franky bicker somewhere behind him. On the Puffing Tom, T Bone wraps a Marine's arm with a piece of his cape and hears that two prisoners have broken free from the rearmost cars.

Zoro understands his captain's intent without a word and joins him outside to face the incoming wall. The two trade a quick joke about what figure to yell, settling on three hundred, then loose their joint move. Their technique, styled the Sanbyaku Pound Cannon in the Gomu Gomu vein, bores a clean passage straight through the swell, and the Rocketman rockets safely beyond it while everyone marvels at the feat. Nami passes Luffy to Sanji, who confirms Robin remains uncaptured, and Luffy tells him to go wild. Zoro grumbles that Sanji should wait for backup, yet drops the argument once Luffy notes he would behave no differently in that spot. Sanji shatters the phone and pushes on.

Reflecting on how the crew has changed since his departure, Usopp declines to help rescue Robin, insisting he no longer counts himself a Straw Hat, and he walks away. Franky, weeping at the truth of Robin's sacrifice, presses forward alongside Sanji. When a Marine notices the pair through an open window, he is knocked into the sea by a sudden shot, and the shooter announces himself as Sogeking, in fact Usopp behind a mask. A minor slip occurs when Zoro's kick sends Luffy back inside, as his leg jumps to the opposite side of Kokoro between frames.
