Episode 390 lands the Straw Hats on the bubble-filled Sabaody Archipelago, where a reformed Duval thanks Sanji and Hatchan explains the perilous route down to Fish-Man Island.
With the Flying Fish Riders beaten, the crew dig Duval out from the rubble, and he recoils on seeing his transformed face in a mirror. Aboard his Takoyaki 8 vendor ship, Hatchan serves the promised takoyaki while Camie adds rice cakes and miso, and Luffy gorges himself. Duval and his men return, but only so the boss can thank Sanji for reshaping his face into a handsome one. He vows to aid the crew should they ever need it, leaves his Den Den Mushi number, and departs as the newly christened Rosy Life Riders.
Over tea, Camie and Pappag explain how to reach Fish-Man Island. Two routes lead to the New World: one carries Marine ships through Mary Geoise but bars pirates, while the other dives through the ocean floor and Fish-Man Island, descending roughly ten thousand meters through a great hole at the base of the Red Line. The ship then reaches Sabaody, where bubbles drift up from the ground and from the mangrove trees as Luffy bounds across them in delight.
