Episode 410 of the One Piece anime sets Luffy scrambling for a way off Amazon Lily while, out at sea, the Warlord Boa Hancock spurns a Marine summons to Ace's execution and petrifies the officers who pressed her.
Determined to rejoin his crew and avenge their rout, Luffy sets his sights on borrowing a vessel. Marguerite, fearing she is growing too fond of him, turns on him and drives him off. Miles from shore, Boa Hancock, the Snake Princess and a member of the Shichibukai, is met by a Marine ship under Vice-Admiral Momonga. He tells her of Ace's coming execution and the threat of Whitebeard's interference, then orders her to join the war or forfeit both her Warlord rank and the treaty shielding the Kuja. Hancock refuses, turns his men to stone with her Mero Mero powers, and departs.
On the island Luffy gets back in fighting shape and asks Marguerite to help peel off the women's vest, baffling her. He tries to leave by raft only for it to splinter under him, since the Calm Belt keeps ordinary ships away and the women believe men sink like stones. Marguerite fires Haki-laced arrows that can pierce rock, and Kikyo's group resumes the chase. At sea, Momonga recounts gutting a Sea King from within, then loses patience waiting for Hancock. When she finally appears she refuses the war, demands the ship's cargo, and unleashes Love Love Mellow on the smitten Marines. A furious Momonga gives her two days to comply or lose her title, and she dares him to try.
