Episode 413 of the One Piece anime pits Luffy against Hancock's transformed sisters in the Amazon Lily arena, where a threat against Marguerite's petrified body unexpectedly draws out his rare Supreme King Haki.
Having flattened the panther Bacura, Luffy squares off with Boa Marigold and Boa Sandersonia, who take their snake forms before a crowd screaming for his death. To wound him without touching him, Sandersonia toys with Marguerite's stone statue. The taunt pushes Luffy past his limit, and he unleashes the extremely rare and potent Supreme King Haki, a force that staggers the spectators and astonishes the Boa sisters, who grasp at once the magnitude of what he has shown.
The onlookers insist Luffy cannot beat the snake sisters, and Hancock orders his execution for trespassing and disrespecting her. Luffy calls a brief timeout to carry the petrified women clear of the ring, apologizing for the danger his presence brought them and hoping Chopper might one day cure them as he and Robin recovered from Aokiji's ice. Marigold's poison and Sandersonia's coils press him hard, and he notices his strikes hurt him just as they did against Sentomaru, which the sisters recognize as the bite of Haki they assume he cannot wield. When Sandersonia lifts Marguerite's statue and counts down to shatter it, Luffy's scream releases Conqueror's Haki, knocking out much of the crowd and confirming to a shaken Hancock that he shares her gift.
