Love is a Hurricane! Hancock in Love

Nyon recognizes the affliction tormenting Hancock and warns her sisters it once claimed every empress before her. The instant she hears Luffy wishes to speak with her, the bedridden ruler rises, astonishing everyone. On the balcony Luffy pleads with her to carry him to Impel Down and to answer the call to war so he can save his brother. Despite her sisters' fury that he is exploiting her and dragging her back toward a slaver's nightmare, Hancock, blushing fiercely, vows to go wherever he asks. Nyon then names the sickness: love, the very thing that killed past empresses kept apart from those they cherished.

Privately, Nyon explains that earlier empresses, bound to the island by their station, perished from the ache of separation from their loved ones, but Hancock will live precisely because leaving with Luffy keeps her near him. Bidding the Kuja farewell, Hancock shyly asks Luffy to drop the formal title and call her by name, only for him to fumble it as Hammock. Leaving the island to her sisters, she smuggles him aboard Vice Admiral Momonga's ship and unfreezes the petrified Marines as the vessel sets course for Marine Headquarters.

At headquarters a report reaches Sengoku that Hancock is inbound, leaving Jinbe as the sole Warlord refusing to fight Whitebeard; for his protest he has been thrown into Impel Down. Word also arrives that Kizaru seized five hundred pirates at Sabaody, and that the squadron guarding Whitebeard has vanished, almost certainly destroyed. Sengoku orders the prison fortified against a rescue. In Impel Down, Garp comes to Ace's cell and asks if he is still breathing, and Ace answers with a laugh and an offhand greeting to the old man.
