On Kenzan Island, Brook is paraded as a freak show oddity, refusing to budge as he recalls everything Luffy gave him and all he can still do in return. He flashes back to their first meeting, to Luffy showing no fear and inviting him aboard, and to Gecko Moria stealing his shadow before Luffy struck the warlord down. Declaring his happiness after fifty lonely years adrift, Brook rises and picks up a guitar, telling the crowd it makes their hearts race, then names his fresh single Bone to be Wild.

Beneath the giant bridge in East Blue, the revolutionaries ask why Robin changed her mind about visiting Baltigo. She recalls Ohara's destruction, Saul's final words, Luffy's rescue at Enies Lobby, and Sogeking burning the World Government flag, then declines to go inside, noting a pirate cannot easily trust revolutionaries. In the Boin Islands, Usopp jogs with Heracles, determined to shed weight and become the King of Snipers worthy of a future Pirate King, prompting Heracles to teach him about Pop Greens.

On Kuraigana Island, Zoro kneels and begs Mihawk for training; the swordsman scorns him until Zoro reveals he already beat the island's humandrills, which earns a grudging agreement once his wounds heal. Back in their room, Zoro explains the meaning of Luffy's tattoo to Perona, and the crew silently pledges to reunite at Sabaody in two years. The anime keeps some humandrills alive, introduces their white bladed leader, and shows the start of Zoro's training against it.
