Reunion after Two Years! Luffy and Law

Smoker lies still in the snow as Law departs with the extracted heart, and the Marines rush to their fallen commander. Riding Brownbeard, Luffy spots a warship overhead and recognizes Law in the distance, racing over to thank the man who saved his life at the war. Law reminds him that gratitude is misplaced, since both of them chase the same treasure and remain rivals, a point Luffy cheerfully accepts. When Tashigi reaches Smoker, sees the hole in his chest, and charges at Law in tears, he swaps the hearts of the two Marines rather than endure her grief. Before the crew flees the approaching soldiers, Law tells Brownbeard to head behind the lab, where what they seek can be found.

On a windswept mountainside the children shiver, so the samurai concentrates and conjures warm coats over everyone with his disguise fruit, warning that the garments vanish if removed. Luffy's party links up with the others inside a building, where the swapped crewmates reintroduce themselves and piece the situation together. Robin notes that Law became a Warlord two years prior, and the samurai recovers his legs while learning Law was the one who cut him apart. In a side cave the body of Smoker, now holding Tashigi's mind, deciphers the 'CC' marking on a hidden ship as belonging to Caesar Clown, a former associate of Dr. Vegapunk. Law finally faces Caesar, who demands to know what he has done.

Luffy and Law meet again and acknowledge they are both pirates after the same prize. Law exchanges the hearts of Smoker and Tashigi. The samurai uses his Devil Fruit to dress the children and crew in warm clothing and regains his severed legs. The Straw Hats reunite and learn Law's Warlord status. Smoker identifies the lab's master as the scientist Caesar Clown, and Law arrives to meet Caesar directly.

The episode introduces the Fuku Fuku no Mi, the samurai's disguise power, and draws on the Punk Hazard storyline. The anime adds an extended gag in which Sanji, knocked out in Nami's body, enjoys a lewd dream before Chopper wakes him, along with a scene of Luffy and the children rolling a giant snowball. Flashbacks revisit Law's rescue of Luffy at Marineford and the faces of the Heart Pirates.
