Save the Children! The Master's Evil Hands Close in!

Still under Vergo and Monet's watch in the cell, Luffy struggles to place Doflamingo until Smoker reminds him of Marineford, and Tashigi notes Doflamingo struck at Moria after the great war. Caesar then enters the room where Nami and Usopp shelter the addicted children. Using his power over the air itself, he robs the pair of oxygen and orders the children to crush them for candy, but the revived Brownbeard bursts in to stop it. Caesar blasts Brownbeard with Gastanet, then knocks out Nami and Usopp the same way.

Zoro's group keeps fleeing Smiley, whose scattered pieces cross the lake onto the ice and begin merging, while the G-5 marines fight the slime outside. With the children loaded onto his ship, Caesar tells Monet to ready the broadcast, transmitting his weapon pitch to brokers across the New World. Among the watching figures are Pekoms, Tamago, Eustass Kid, and Killer.

Luffy recalls seeing Doflamingo at Marineford. Caesar suffocates Nami and Usopp by stripping the air of oxygen and commands the children to kill them. Brownbeard reappears to rescue the pair but is defeated by Caesar's Gastanet, after which Caesar downs Nami and Usopp as well. Smiley's fragments reach the icy region and start to converge. Caesar secures the children on his ship and orders Monet to prepare a Den Den Mushi broadcast advertising his weapon of mass destruction to New World brokers, who include the Supernovas Kid and Killer.

This episode belongs to the Punk Hazard Arc and leans on flashbacks to Marineford-era events. The anime adds Luffy asking who Doflamingo is before remembering him, Tashigi explaining Doflamingo's attack on Moria after the Whitebeard War, and Chopper sneaking about while hidden under a book cover. The broadcast sequence reintroduces multiple underworld figures as shadowed silhouettes ahead of the weapon demonstration to come.
