Episode 605 of One Piece has Caesar isolate Building A to flood it with gas, forcing a frantic dash for the gate in which several G-5 marines sacrifice themselves so Tashigi and the rest can survive.
Enraged that the prisoners escaped into his lab, Caesar plans to seal the corridor between buildings A and B, blast the wall, and let Shinokuni in to wipe out the intruders. Vergo decides instead to deal with them personally and heads out. Chopper, who overheard the scheme, slips away with a sedative and a cure to find the children in the maze-like facility.
Luffy, Smoker, and Law clear the gate just before the closing alarm sounds. Hearing it, Tashigi orders the G-5 marines to stop fighting the Straw Hats and rush the gate, while Zoro, Brook, and Kin'emon cut their way through the troops. A cannon blast tears open Building A's wall, and the gas petrifies several marines as the rest flee. Most escape, but a few stay behind to push Tashigi across, freezing in poses that urge their comrades onward. Caesar vows that no one will leave his lab alive.
Caesar orders the A-B passage sealed and the wall destroyed to flood Building A with Shinokuni. Vergo sets out to eliminate the escapees himself, and Chopper sneaks off to reach the children. Luffy, Smoker, and Law pass the gate ahead of the alarm. Tashigi has the marines abandon their fight and race for the closing gate. A cannon breaches the wall, petrifying some marines, while others sacrifice themselves to get Tashigi through. The Straw Hats and most marines survive, and Caesar swears none will escape alive.
