Liar Usoland on the Run!

Turned into a toy, Robin wanders the trade port wondering where Usopp has gone, placing her faith in him all the same. At the toy house Franky chooses to stay behind and hold off the Marines rather than lead them underground and ruin the Thunder Soldier's scheme, trusting Usopp to come through. With the little folk all downed, Leo too counts on the sniper. Usopp, however, bolts in terror, cursing Franky for not appearing. Trebol orders the toys back to work, yet they remain shaken by the uprising, and the barely conscious rebels keep crying out for their savior.

Their calls freeze Usopp in his tracks. Leo tells Trebol and Sugar that Usoland is a legendary hero descended from Noland who swore to free every toy and dwarf, and he refuses to believe the man abandoned them even as Trebol mocks their naivety and stomps on him. Suddenly Usopp reappears and tells them to drop the act. He confesses he is no descendant of Montblanc Noland, only Usopp of the Straw Hat Pirates, and the little folk weep at the truth. Then he declares he will save them anyway, realizing he could never live with himself otherwise and that a noble death would be worth it. Claiming the title of legendary Tontatta hero for himself, he fires a fresh pop green, Hissatsu Midori Boshi: Platanus Shuriken, slicing Trebol in two.

New animated material includes Dellinger striking Franky onscreen and Viola using her sight to confirm the rebels' defeat while Luffy reassures her Usopp will finish Operation SOP. The episode also lingers on Usopp repeating his real name after his first attack. In a running gag, Sugar tells Trebol to drop dead three separate times, each cut off by his loud laughter, where the manga had her say it only once. The preview is shortened. Usopp debuts the Platanus Shuriken.
