The Strongest Creature - Emperor - Kaidou of the Beasts

Kyros wakes at his house, admits he overheard much of Sabo's tale, and shares a quiet drink with Zoro, who muses about sparring with the toy soldier one day. Grateful for the island's liberation, Kyros looks toward the palace, recalls Rebecca, and slips out with a letter in hand. Far off, the Thousand Sunny reaches an unfamiliar land where Sanji bullies a reluctant Caesar into helping injured locals, while Nami, Brook, and Momonosuke are cut off by a sudden flood.

The pirates Sheepshead and Ginrummy, hunting a hidden samurai, attack across the rising water, but Brook parries and Sanji's Diable Jambe drops Sheepshead. The enemies retreat empty-handed. Meanwhile, a colossal figure crashes into the Kid Pirates' base. After a narrated history of a man no weapon could kill, the newcomer drags himself from the crater: Kaidou of the Four Emperors, roaring for Doflamingo to hurry as he aches to ignite a great war against a world he finds too dull.

Kyros secretly drafts and delivers a letter regarding Rebecca. The Sunny group fends off Sheepshead's crew amid the Eruption Rain flood, with Sanji finishing the fight. Kaidou's plunge from Ballon Terminal levels part of the Kid alliance's hideout.

The episode confirms Kaidou's identity as an Emperor and one of the strongest creatures alive, capsizing a ship with his landing alone and declaring his intent to throw the world into conflict.

This Dressrosa Arc episode debuts Sheepshead, Ginrummy, and Tristan, introduces the island of Zou, and premieres Sheepshead's Sheep's Horn and Brook's Soul Parade. It aired May 1, the date Oda had named as Kaidou's birthday, and the eyecatcher features Nami.

The broadcast added a shockwave from Kaidou's shout, gave visuals to his failed executions, and softened nothing of the rookies' fear, though it omitted the manga's mention of his suicidal habit and silenced Urouge's spoken prayer.
