Ruler of Day - Duke Inuarashi Appears!

Led by Wanda, the Straw Hats reach the retreat where the injured Duke is healing, encountering there a fierce lion mink named Shishilian among his attendants. Inuarashi welcomes the pirates, and when night comes he and his subjects all drift into sleep. Using the quiet, Wanda tells how the Duke and the Musketeers came charging in to take on Jack when Zou was attacked.

Luffy nearly gives them away by uttering the word ninja, so Usopp, Nami, and Brook pummel him while Brook rescues the moment by claiming the captain only asked after the kanja, meaning the patient. By the entrance, Shishilian is tossing minks into a pit for praising sweet things near him, and the crew's arrival merely stokes his zeal until he crushes Luffy in a scorching embrace of gratitude. Within, Chopper, Miyagi, and Tristan tend the huge canine ruler, who thanks the crew and notes that their deeds saved his people in turn. He notices the hat on Luffy's head and recalls once putting to sea with Nekomamushi and meeting Shanks, then abruptly nods off. Wanda explains the arrangement born of the rulers' deep mutual hatred: each governs in turns, Inuarashi presiding through the daylight half and Nekomamushi taking the remaining twelve hours. Her account moves to the clash with Jack seventeen days earlier, when the Musketeers tore through the Gifters until Inuarashi rode in on his crocodile-boar mount to confront the enemy leader.

Shishilian, Giovanni, and Concelot all debut here. The broadcast draws out the comedic thrashing over the ninja slip and adds new footage of Shishilian hurling a pineapple-shaped building, hugging Luffy, and lunging at Jack in the flashback. The Beasts Pirates' rampage gains screen time, the three elite Musketeers read as stronger than in print, and Caesar's poison weapon, raised in the manga, goes unspoken before the Duke falls asleep.
