A Giant Ambition - Big Mom and Caesar

Inside Sweet City, citizens jeer at the newspaper headline announcing that Jinbe has dropped his request to part ways with the Big Mom Pirates. Pedro marvels that a former Warlord serves her, and Brook explains this allegiance is why she shields Fish-Man Island, recalling Jinbe's pledge to eventually join the Straw Hats. Peering through a window, the two spot Pudding being kept trying on wedding gowns by Tamago and her attendants, confirming the Pudding on the beach was a fake. Tamago steps outside, rattles off the precise whereabouts of the rescue team, and notes the only unknowns are Brook and Pedro themselves, while ordering a continued hunt for Pekoms.

On the northwestern coast, Capone Bege soothes his infant son Pez before turning to the chained Pekoms at the cliff's edge. Judging the lion mink too soft for the work, Bege fires and sends him plunging into shark-filled water. In the chateau, Caesar stands terrified before Big Mom, who demands results from the gigantification research meant to make all races her size. He had squandered her funds on pleasure after the Punk Hazard experiments failed and Doflamingo's fall stripped his protection, so he lies that Luffy and Law wrecking his lab stalled everything. Big Mom reveals Perospero built an identical candy lab and grants two weeks before threatening to have him licked into candy.

Capone Pez, Charlotte Perospero, and the Pero Pero no Mi all debut in this episode, along with Perospero's Candy Man technique. Throughout, Luffy keeps snaring animalistic doubles of Sanji and Pudding in the Seducing Woods and piling them up, only to find ever more copies of his crew. Perospero also holds Caesar's heart and squeezes it to torment him. The anime adds Luffy's extended chase and capture of the fake Sanji, and the scenes of Perospero crushing Caesar's heart.
