Episode 805 cracks the puzzle of Cracker's endless soldiers when Nami's rain turns them edible, letting a hungry Luffy devour them for hours. Meanwhile Reiju masks Sanji's bruises and he explains where his code of chivalry came from.
As Luffy and Cracker resume their clash, a famished Luffy bites into a Biscuit Soldier but cannot break its hardened surface. Cracker boasts that his biscuits are inedible, but the remark jogs Nami's memory, and she unleashes Rain Spark to soak his creations. The dampened biscuits crumble easily, and Nami urges Luffy to eat them; with pieces lodged in his stomach the soldiers cannot regenerate and are neutralized. To vary the flavor and keep going, Nami leads Luffy and her controlled homies toward rivers of juice, pursued all the while by Cracker.
In the Germa Kingdom, a barely conscious Sanji is left on the cloning facility floor. Reiju dismisses the servants and takes him to a room, pressing a gelatinous, electrified mask onto his face that halts the swelling though his bruises still ache.
Reiju questions why Sanji returned for Zeff's sake and asks the source of his chivalry. He recalls childhood on the Baratie, where he and the cooks begged Zeff to hire a woman. Zeff refused, explaining that he disciplined people with kicks and could never strike a woman, and when Sanji failed to understand, Zeff kicked him repeatedly while insisting that hitting a woman was beneath a man and would mean Zeff had failed as a parent. That affirmation of fatherhood stunned the young Sanji. In the present, Luffy adds juice flavors to the soldiers and keeps eating through hours of combat until he balloons to his stomach's limit, while an exhausted Cracker keeps producing soldiers; driven by his wish to recover Sanji, Luffy presses on.
