Role

In the wake of the Summit War of Marineford, G-1 swapped places with Marine Headquarters. Fleet Admiral Sakazuki wanted the central command planted in the same waters as the Four Emperors so the Marines could contest their grip on the second half of the Grand Line. The base's old position, since renamed New Marineford, is described as a perfect mirror of Marineford on the opposite side of the Red Line.
