Existing wholly outside the main canon, this crew first surfaced in the TOKYO PIRATES FESTIVAL 2018 live shows, where their aim was to draw recruits from the crowds touring Tongari Island. The same emblem serves as both their flag and the island's logo: a skull in a straw hat set over a pair of crossed white lightning bolts, with a red-and-white tower rising behind it. Above that sits a yellow banner spelling Tongari, its letters cheekily swapped so that a hammer stands in for the T and a saw for the I, and the word Island runs beneath.
Expanding the crew was the whole point of their appearance, and to do so they tried to enlist the tourists arriving at Tongari Island. That put them in direct competition with the island's own Marine detachment, commanded by Captain Pontanitaire and his subordinates, as the two sides raced to claim new recruits. What the crew could actually do in a fight has never been confirmed; no battle of theirs was ever depicted. Even so, reaching and sailing the New World demanded genuine capability, which places them well above a rabble.
