Their roots lay in the East Blue, weakest of the world's four seas, so the band earned little in the way of renown. Leading them was Billy the Orca Killer, later validated in supplementary canon as the group's captain. Sources outside the main story assign Billy a 3,000,000 Berry price on his head, a sum they describe as ordinary and low for anyone raised in that particular sea.

As fighters the group counted for almost nothing. Their leader was apprehended without struggle by the Marine officer Smoker, a captain by rank.
