A short-lived pirate band out of the East Blue, the Yes Pirates never once set foot in the Grand Line. Their captain fell to a Marine before the voyage could begin, and the two crewmates who tried to avenge him were beaten just as quickly.
Their roots lay in the East Blue, weakest of the world's four seas, so the band earned little in the way of renown. Leading them was Billy the Orca Killer, later validated in supplementary canon as the group's captain. Sources outside the main story assign Billy a 3,000,000 Berry price on his head, a sum they describe as ordinary and low for anyone raised in that particular sea.
As fighters the group counted for almost nothing. Their leader was apprehended without struggle by the Marine officer Smoker, a captain by rank. The two men who remained active, Koze and Packy, met the same fate when their ambush attempt collapsed against a single opponent. No aspect of the crew hinted at any genuine danger, and they never sailed past the edges of their native waters.
Every hope of crossing into the Grand Line evaporated once Billy was seized at Loguetown during Smoker's watch. Enraged by how thoroughly that arrest had shattered their ambitions, Koze and Packy set their sights on getting even. Their chosen target was Tashigi, who held the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer beneath Smoker, yet she brushed the pair aside without effort and brought their brief tale to a close.
Koze is one of the two remaining crew members of the Yes Pirates after captain Billy's capture. Alongside fellow pirate Packy, Koze tried to avenge Billy by attacking Tashigi, but the pair were easily defeated and their attempt collapsed.
The Yes Pirates were led by captain Billy the Orca Killer, a minor East Blue pirate later confirmed as the group's captain in supplementary canon material. The crew never gained much renown since the East Blue is considered the weakest of the world's four seas.
