Overview

These seeds come from a family of hostile plants rooted in the Boin Archipelago's Greenstone forest. What sets them apart is their near-instant growth: a thrown seed can erupt into a mature plant within moments. Heracles relied on them as bullets, tools, and traps, then passed his knowledge on to Usopp during their two years together.

Function

Every seed sprouts almost the instant it is deployed, yet no two behave alike. Different varieties carry different ranges and effects, some piercing a target, some detonating, and some loosing a shockwave, with the color of each seed signaling its payload. Their triggers vary as well: certain ones germinate on impact, others sense an approaching foe, and a few can even bloom in midair.

Heracles simply hurls the seeds, while Usopp launches them from his slingshot, the Kuro Kabuto, building a long roster of Midori Boshi attacks. When Usopp rebuilt Nami's weapon into the Sorcery Clima-Tact, he wove the same growth property into it, letting her lengthen the staff with a squeeze.

Notable Users

Heracles is the original cultivator, and Usopp became the breakout user after mastering the seeds in training. Usopp even keeps a personal flowerbed called Usopp Garden aboard the Thousand Sunny to mass-produce them so his supply never runs dry, a detail shown in Film Z. In One Piece Odyssey, the former wet nurse Liberta plants a rare variety Heracles once gave her, which Usopp helps grow into an Ambling Stonecrop on Flower Hill.
