Shodai Kitetsu

Standing at the head of the Kitetsu line, this is one of the twelve Supreme Grade blades, placing it among the sharpest and best-made swords in existence. Its caliber sits on the same level as other legendary weapons, comparable to Mihawk's Yoru and to Ace, the sword once carried by Gol D. Roger. Following the pattern of the whole Kitetsu family, the sword is reputed to condemn its bearer to a grisly end.

Long enough to be classed alongside the nodachi, this tachi-style weapon carries a blade marked by a flame-patterned hamon. Its four-lobed guard, tinted a pale gold, is rounded into the tachi-mokko-gata form that echoes a cross pattee. Both the hamon and the guard shape are hallmarks shared across every Kitetsu sword, while the scabbard that houses the blade has a plainly wooden look to it. In Nusjuro's grip, the weapon has shown extraordinary range. A swing that missed Jewelry Bonney still sheared clean through the Great Eirik's figurehead standing meters behind her, and moments later a single stroke halved the entire Labophase of Egghead.

The blade can grow larger whenever Nusjuro takes on his bakotsu Mythical Zoan form, stretching to roughly the height of a ship's mast once he enters his Human-Beast state. That expansion boosts both reach and cutting force, which let him split the Labophase apart and later menace the Thousand Sunny with the threat of cleaving it in two. Nusjuro can also route ice along the steel, a trick he used to freeze the internal workings of Egghead's Pacifista units and shut them down.

Nusjuro of the Five Elders is the sword's current wielder, and Zoro is the one who recognizes the weapon as a Kitetsu when he confronts the Five Elder. The manga has not yet stated outright that the sword Nusjuro carries is this blade, though official merchandise has already treated the two as one, most notably his figure in the Ichiban Kuji "Future Island Egghead" lineup. In a video game appearance, Nusjuro channels a massive ice-and-Haki air slash through the blade. The Japanese name for that move translates to Warrior God of Finance, with the word Flash appended, while One Piece Bounty Rush renders it in English as Godhead of Finance's Flash.
