Meanwhile Saturn briefs nine Vice Admirals, noting that the operation netted York, the data fortress, and the energy plant, each of which guarantees a path to the Mother Flame. Even so, he names a crucial blunder. The officers guess he means letting Luffy and Bonney slip away and ask leave to hunt them to Elbaph, but he refuses, pointing instead at the broadcast being allowed to run and the Iron Giant's part in the getaway, a bitter irony since roughly two centuries back he himself ordered the machine preserved to bolster the military. When Doberman dares to ask whether the message held truth, Saturn wounds him, sending the rest scrambling for a medic.

York realizes the Cloud Plant refuses to stop generating clouds, blames Edison, and opens fire on the factory from a distance, but the swelling vapor has already hoisted the records archive far above her and the government's grasp. In Mary Geoise, the World Nobles are gripped by a shrinking food supply and fury over the broadcast and Sakazuki's failures, then are rattled when Garling steps in dressed like an Elder, newly named to the post of Science and Defense as its Warrior God, the figure York must now obey, which unsettles the remaining four.

On Egghead, Saturn buckles as a black ooze leaks from him; recognizing Imu's punishment for letting "Joy Boy" flee, he pleads, blaming the unpredictable Nika power, before a violent eruption reduces him to bone. Aboard the floating archive, Edison speaks with the wrecked satellites whose minds now share his frame; Shaka and Atlas regret abandoning the lab, while Pythagoras observes York can still feed knowledge to the vault from afar. The reassembled Vegapunk, built from salvaged parts of Edison together with Shaka, Pythagoras, and Atlas, reaches out to Weatheria. In Kamabakka, the Revolutionary Army weighs the speech, Sabo grasping that the first nobles perched atop the Red Line for its height above the rising sea, Ivankov noting the same logic behind the wolf mega-structures, and Dragon concluding they must strike before the world fights over habitable ground.

This installment caps the Egghead Arc. Supplementary notes record that Saturn had endured well over two hundred years, that his apparent immortality was stripped by Imu, and that, per Shaka, around five hundred years must pass before the archive opens to humanity. Ivankov also reveals three further structures akin to Tequila Wolf, and the cover advances the Yamato serial with Oden Castle's rebuilding and a foreman's vanishing.
