Crocodile-ish

Reading the poneglyph, Miss All Sunday is frustrated that the stone holds nothing more than Arabasta's past. Crocodile arrives, compliments how well the slab was hidden, and orders her to recite it aloud. She does, listing the kingdom's history, but the Warlord cuts in, uninterested in anything except where Pluton lies. When she insists the stone makes no mention of the weapon, his disappointment turns deadly: he declares their four-year partnership finished and praises her invaluable service to Baroque Works even as he moves to dispose of her.

Crocodile strikes, and Miss All Sunday barely slips aside, revealing she anticipated his treachery by hiding a water container in her coat. Before she can splash him, he dissolves into sand, reappears behind her, and runs his hook through her body, telling the injured woman he forgives her because he never trusted anyone to begin with. He admits he knows Pluton is real from Cobra's reaction to the name and believes he can locate it without the stones. A rumble shakes the chamber: Cobra has shifted a pillar to bury Crocodile alive with himself, but the Warlord laughs that his sand powers let him escape, and that within three minutes Arabasta will be his.

The chapter establishes that Robin can read poneglyphs, that the Arabasta stone records only history with no word of Pluton, and that Crocodile turns on his partner. Up top Vivi, despite a leg injury, deduces the cannon's location, and Usopp fires a Red Snake Star flare to signal the crew after using a Smoke Star. Luffy wakes from his collapse and finds the hidden staircase. The countdown reaches two minutes; the cover continues Hatchan's Sea-Floor Stroll with the octopus recalling a lost love.
